site du projet Cano\u00eb, au coin des rues Hochelaga et Bennett, s\u2019implante en plein c\u0153ur de l\u2019arrondissement Mercier \u2013 Hochelaga-Maisonneuve, un secteur pr\u00e9sentant un patrimoine b\u00e2ti vari\u00e9 t\u00e9moignant des \u00e9poques l\u2019ayant marqu\u00e9.<\/p>\n<p>L\u2019axe de l\u2019avenue Morgan dans lequel le projet s\u2019ins\u00e8re est en soi une ligne du temps t\u00e9moignant du d\u00e9veloppement de l\u2019arrondissement et de la Ville de Montr\u00e9al. Un des principes directeurs du projet est de reconnecter le site \u00e0 cet axe, de le renforcer de par le cadre b\u00e2ti et de le c\u00e9l\u00e9brer par l\u2019implantation d\u2019un parc lin\u00e9aire sur le site. Pour ce faire, l\u2019architecture des immeubles \u00e0 caract\u00e8res institutionnel, r\u00e9sidentiel et industriel du quartier a \u00e9t\u00e9 analys\u00e9e \u00e0 travers une \u00e9tude typo-morphologique.<\/p>\n<p>L\u2019objectif de cette \u00e9tude est de s\u2019inspirer de l\u2019environnement imm\u00e9diat pour cr\u00e9er une architecture qui est sensible \u00e0 son contexte et qui r\u00e9interpr\u00e8te ces typologies de mani\u00e8re contemporaine. Les donn\u00e9es recueillies ont \u00e9t\u00e9 collig\u00e9es dans un tableau r\u00e9capitulatif permettant d\u2019\u00e9tablir des r\u00e8gles de compositions pour chacune des interfaces du projet.<\/p>\n<p>Les caract\u00e9ristiques principales \u00e9tudi\u00e9es sont la division parcellaire du quartier, la diversit\u00e9 dans les hauteurs des b\u00e2timents environnants, et la mat\u00e9rialit\u00e9.<\/p>\n<p>Sur l\u2019interface Bennett, une division \u00e0 plus petite \u00e9chelle est propos\u00e9e, en dialogue avec le parcellaire r\u00e9sidentiel existant. La division du parcellaire sur la rue Hochelaga se fait dans de plus grandes proportions, en continuit\u00e9 avec les b\u00e2timents institutionnels qui jalonnent la rue.<\/p>\n<p>La distribution des diff\u00e9rentes \u00e9chelles de b\u00e2timent s\u2019est faite de mani\u00e8re \u00e0 assurer un arrimage avec les b\u00e2timents avoisinants. Pour ouvrir le site sur le quartier, un axe traverse le projet en entier. Cet axe, nomm\u00e9 All\u00e9e des Artistes, permet de consolider l\u2019exp\u00e9rience urbaine au c\u0153ur de l\u2019\u00eelot et favorise les \u00e9changes entre les r\u00e9sidents et visiteurs du quartier.
