Pour tous les magasins, \u00e0 commencer par celui de North Vancouver, une relation de travail \u00e9troite a \u00e9t\u00e9 cr\u00e9\u00e9e entre \u00c6difica pour l\u2019am\u00e9nagement int\u00e9rieur et Proscenium pour la conception architecturale.<br \/>\nCe magasin \u00e0 haute performance, certifi\u00e9 LEED Platine, consomme pr\u00e8s d&#39;un tiers de moins d&#39;\u00e9nergie que les normes fix\u00e9es par le code \u00e9nerg\u00e9tique national. La structure en bois s&#39;exprime pleinement \u00e0 l\u2019int\u00e9rieur du magasin, le syst\u00e8me de poteaux et de poutres en lamell\u00e9-coll\u00e9 souligne quant \u00e0 lui la verticalit\u00e9. Des aires communes ont \u00e9t\u00e9 cr\u00e9\u00e9es pour offrir des ateliers et ainsi faciliter l&#39;interaction avec la communaut\u00e9 sportive.<br \/>\nLa priorit\u00e9 a \u00e9t\u00e9 donn\u00e9e \u00e0 l&#39;\u00e9clairage naturel, les fa\u00e7ades de vitres permettent une p\u00e9n\u00e9tration profonde de la lumi\u00e8re dans le b\u00e2timent et une vue sur l&#39;ext\u00e9rieur.  Un grand escalier est visuellement favoris\u00e9 par rapport \u00e0 l&#39;ascenseur, afin de tirer parti des avantages pour la sant\u00e9 associ\u00e9e \u00e0 l&#39;utilisation r\u00e9guli\u00e8re des escaliers. Un mur d&#39;escalade active l&#39;espace de l&#39;atrium et permet \u00e0 la communaut\u00e9 de s&#39;engager dans le b\u00e2timent de mani\u00e8re diff\u00e9rente de l&#39;exp\u00e9rience commerciale typique.<br \/>\nMEC Vancouver est un b\u00e2timent commercial unique qui imagine autrement la mani\u00e8re dont un grand magasin de d\u00e9tail peut servir sa communaut\u00e9 et b\u00e9n\u00e9ficier \u00e0 l&#39;environnement.<\/p>\n","en":"<p>The three-storey mass timber building embodies MEC\u2019s brand identity while acting as a gateway marker to the Olympic Village neighbourhood. For all current stores starting with the North Vancouver Store a close working relationship was created between \u00c6difica for all interior retail design and Proscenium architectural design.<br \/>\nThe innovative store is a high-performance LEED Platinum building that uses almost one-third less energy than the standards set out by the national energy code. On the inside the wood structure is fully expressed. Due to the tall floor to floor plate the glulam column and beam system emphasizes verticality.  HUB stations were created to offer workshops which facilitate the interaction with the community.<br \/>\nProvision of daylighting and views for both retail and office occupants were prioritized. To add vibrancy to the street edge experience we needed a visual connection between the pedestrian realm, street edge and the retail interior. This led to transparency where traditionally a store would be more inwardly focusing. A feature stair acts as a focal point to draw users to the second retail level and is visually and programmatically prioritized over the elevator to take advantage of the social engagement and health benefits associated with regular stair use.
