{"id":5456,"date":"2019-01-11T22:14:14","date_gmt":"2019-01-12T03:14:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/int.design\/projets\/ici-ete-fondee-montreal\/"},"modified":"2020-09-15T14:09:40","modified_gmt":"2020-09-15T18:09:40","slug":"ici-ete-fondee-montreal","status":"publish","type":"project","link":"https:\/\/int.design\/en\/projects\/ici-ete-fondee-montreal\/","title":{"rendered":"Ici a \u00e9t\u00e9 fond\u00e9e Montr\u00e9al"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Years of digging under Montreal\u2019s ground culminated in Ici a \u00e9t\u00e9 fond\u00e9 Montr\u00e9al, the new permanent exhibit at the Pointe-\u00e0-Calli\u00e8re museum, located right above the digging grounds of the city\u2019s remnants.<\/p>\n<p>Designed by Daily tous les jours, who worked on it for two years, in close collaboration with architects Dan Hanganu and Michel Dallaire, archeologists and museum staff, the exhibit invites museum-goers to discover the city\u2019s founding stories, through a mystical and emotional exploration. The creative team was successful in imagi-ning a concept that would captivate visitors while ren-dering the city\u2019s ruins and artefacts accessible and visible. The glass floors are very effective in allowing traces of the past to be seen and experienced.
