The entryway draws interest with illuminated brand signage atop an impressive limestone feature wall with linear ridged paneling that evokes texture and the craftsmanship of a tailored suit. These design elements serve as a captivating focal point through the outer glass walls of the showroom, allowing visitors to easily locate Keilhauer as they walk down the 11th floor hallway.<\/p>\n<p>Radiating a timeless elegance and refined materiality, the showroom is basked in a warmth that deviates from a typical gallery-like furniture showroom environment. Once inside, the new open layout serves as an inviting backdrop, with large windows that flood the space with natural light, enhancing the overall experience.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur main goal was to open up the showroom,\u201d says Mardi Najafi, VP of Retail Strategy and Design at Figure3. \u201cOne of the ways we achieved this was to include what we call \u2018social spaces\u2019 in the center of the showroom \u2013 these versatile lounge areas will facilitate events and activations beautifully.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>At the heart of the showroom, guests will enjoy the stunning feature bar with an undeniable hospitality-like feel that encourages intentional guest interaction and can easily be activated to host events and product launches within the space.<\/p>\n<p>A variety of flexible workspaces highlight Keilhauer\u2019s diverse range of contract furniture solutions, intended to facilitate sales appointments, and creative co-working sessions. From warm lounges to collaborative workspaces and private offices, visitors can experience for themselves how Keilhauer products can enhance any workspace environment in context of use.<\/p>\n<p>Unique vertical display niches, resembling large-scale bookshelves, creatively showcase the furniture as sculpture and tell the story of Keilhauer\u2019s collaborations with notable European designers. This presentation emphasizes craftsmanship and attention to detail\u2014a recurring theme to be echoed across the Keilhauer brand. The front reception desk, display niches and feature wall, were designed as a kit-of-parts, ensuring consistency and ownable design across Keilhauer\u2019s showrooms.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDisplaying the art in our flagship NYC showroom alongside our furniture aligns to our commitment of celebrating design and creativity,\u201d says Meghan Sherwin. \u201cHeld to the highest standards of curatorial excellence, we strive to create a space that inspires designers.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The inclusion of curated artwork infuses vitality and cultural depth into the interior, with original art pieces curated by Keilhauer in celebration of both new and renowned artists from around the world, with a focus on women artists.<\/p>\n<p>Figure3 worked with Keilhauer\u2019s brand palette, incorporating charcoals, alabasters, deep blues, and accents of golden orange to create an aspirational and inviting aesthetic. The showroom radiates timeless elegance and sophistication with materials such as wood-effect porcelain tiles arranged in a herringbone pattern. Strategic placement of carpeted sections not only help to define specific areas within the open-concept design, but also allow visitors to test products across different surfaces.<\/p>\n<p>The design makes use of spatial irregularities and the \u00a0unconventional floorplan within the historic building by hiding much of the column grid to evoke a sense of openness throughout. The resulting space places emphasis on the furniture vignettes, while creating a streamlined multi-functional environment.<\/p>\n<p>Another design challenge included creating a seamless journey between the Keilhauer showroom and an existing shop-in-shop for Keilhauer\u2019s subsidiary brand, Division Twelve, which features a playful and bold visual identity alongside the more sophisticated ambiance of Keilhauer. Understanding that most people head right when they walk into a store environment, also known as being the \u201cinvariant right\u201d, the team positioned the entry portal to Division Twelve immediately to the right of the showroom decompression zone in order to encourage discovery between the two brands.<\/p>\n<p>The showroom exemplifies social and environmental responsibility through its mindful use of materials and resources, utilizing only carbon neutral materials and vendors. Reflecting Keilhauer\u2019s sustainability ethos, the design team also made a concerted effort to minimize waste by reusing existing materials wherever possible, extending their life and reducing environmental impact. Energy-efficient LED lighting technologies, including four preset lighting temperatures, reduce energy usage and allow for atmospheric customization.<\/p>\n<p>This approach aligns with both Keilhauer and Figure3\u2019s broader commitment to environmental stewardship, ultimately providing a social benefit and reducing overall carbon footprint, contributing to a more sustainable future.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFigure3 has transformed our New York showroom into a dynamic space that not only showcases our premium furniture but also serves as a hub for collaboration and celebration.
