Eidos-Montreal, a creator of immersive experiences in the world of video games, wanted to consolidate its talents under one roof. With its headquarters already well established on two floors of a building in the entertainment district, the company wanted to develop an additional space. It had to be inspired by the language of the existing premises, be faithful to the brand image of the company, while expressing the personality of the individuals for whom it was designed: teams specialized in technical and technological support. Imperatori Design was entrusted with this challenge.

A tight schedule and budget optimization were at the center of all decisions; a constraint that the design team successfully transformed into a creative engine.

Minimalism, simplicity and originality meet right from the entrance, where the organic structures in light wood, focal points of the project, bound the common spaces of the focus area. This area is mainly composed of open stations and collaborative zones. Floating in the spacious reception area, these variable-geometry cells offer a natural barrier that feeds a certain mystery by shielding the working teams from visual distractions and noise .

The adjacent kitchen, though far from natural light, remains bright and inviting thanks to its lowered gypsum ceiling and pristine white surfaces. A communal table sits at its center, ready to entertain guests at any time of day, setting the tone for this unpretentious space that feels dynamic, uncluttered, clear and organized.

In contrast, in the open area, the bare ceiling exposes the integrity of the slab and technical infrastructure, giving the whole space a sense of spaciousness. Here, even the service columns at the end of the carefully aligned work benches are given a new lease on life. The meeting and collaboration rooms, generously glazed, ensure the tranquility of the premises, without obstructing the view. The white oak, the abundance of light colors and warm grays create a contemporary and inspiring space that leaves room for the creativity of the users. The quality of life for employees at Eidos-Montreal is more than a brand image, it’s a way of life.
